I’m Erich, a hybrid designer currently residing in Portland, Oregon. Throughout my career, I’ve enjoyed working with likeminded dreamers who are driven like me to create unique experiences for brands that believe continuous innovation and experimentation are integral to their success.

Throughout this quest, I’ve been a front-end developer, designer, and most recently a senior user experience designer at the global agency, AKQA. I’m excited to work on more projects that blend technology with the physical world. The projects I’m most proud to have worked on in this vein are an immersive shoe trialing experience for Nike and a proof-of-concept of a smart serving tray for Starbucks Roastery.

The tools I use frequently change based on what’s best for the job. Lately, I’ve been using Figma, Sketch, Framer X, Flinto, and Principle. When necessary, I leverage code (HTML, CSS, Javascript, and CoffeeScript) in the prototypes I build.

I’m looking for a full-time opportunity somewhere on the West Coast (who knows, maybe elsewhere). In the meantime, I’m available for short-term contract gigs. My dog, Pilot, comes to work with me most days. I leave him home a few days a week to keep him humble. :)
